Summer Theatre Project 2021 - Romeo and Juliet

It is almost that time of year again – Summertime and the start of our 27th annual Summer Theatre Project this years play is going to be the hard hitting and beautiful tragedy – Williams Shakespeare’s – ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with the renowned Jim Nolan in the director’s seat, who previous directed ‘The Crucible’ in 2014 and ‘Dark of The Moon’ in 2010 for us in the past.

This time round we are looking for twenty 14 – 19-year-olds to act and perform in this production, who would like to do something memorable this summer and spend six incredible weeks putting on a professional quality production in the same way the professional theatre companies do.

Spring Workshops

 

Waterford Youth Arts is back with five weeks of creative and imaginative online youth art workshops – Creative Writing, Youth Drama, Film and Visual Arts for 7- to 19-year-olds which are starting back on Saturday the 10th of April over Zoom, at only 25 euros per term (working out to be five euros a workshop) theirs no time like the present to sign up -  http://waterfordyoutharts.eventbrite.com/.

This term we will also be continuing with the Creativity Projects (weekly gatherings of all members in their own age group – 9 – 11s, 12 – 14s and 15 – 19-year-olds work together to put on projects that will be happening in person or online over the summer. The groups will have complete control of what they will do which may turn out to be a play / a film / an event or a series of small projects.) and works towards something incredible in the summer this is included in the price.
