Summer Production 2015 - 'Our Town'

Auditions have just taken place for 'Our Town' which will be staged as the Waterford Youth Arts Summer production for 2015. The fun started on Tuesday last with Nick Kavanagh's excellent workshop & Jim Nolan running reading sessions in the afternoon. Brilliant atmosphere in the building and great to see so many new faces. Following on from the success of last Summer's production of 'The Crucible', the 2015 Summer production will be widely anticipated. We are delighted to be able to give this opportunity to young people locally. Best of luck to all involved!

Arts Squad in action at Ardscoil Na Mara Tramore

Fantastic to see our new Arts Squad project in action with one of our first participants, Ardscoil Na Mara in Tramore. Students try their hand at ceramics. Waterford Youth Arts will be bringing Arts Squad out to schools and community groups all over the South East Region with workshops available in a variety of art forms. It's Samba Season at Waterford Youth Arts!

Samba season is about to come to Waterford Youth Arts! It's time to experience the rhythm and energy of Brazil right here in Waterford. Formed with the view to establishing a youth Samba group, these workshops will introduce young people to the world of Samba drumming. Percussion and drumming techniques will be brought to life in a very energetic Samba season! No experience required. A free introductory evening (ages 12-19) will take place on Wednesday 28th January 7pm-8.30pm. Venue: St. Patrick's Gateway Centre, Patrick Street, Waterford.
